Well, we’d be lying if we said that this pandemic situation did not affect us! With dozens of International travellers who booked our photography tours for 2020, and the inability to travel internationally, we’ve had to cancel most of our photography tours and workshops for the summer.
Lucky for us, though: we live in Vietnam! And Vietnam appears to be the country that has handled the coronavirus situation best. After being on semi lockdown for a couple of weeks, the country is now back to a normal situation, with no new COVID-19 cases declared for over a month now.
A couple of weeks ago, we have taken an amazing road trip in central Vietnam, just to “test the temperature” and see how the people we met felt about seeing visitors in their villages. Well, definitely positive results came out of this trip: Vietnam is back to “normal”! And when I say normal, I mean people are as friendly as ever, the way Vietnam was before the pandemic.
So we think it is high time to hit the road again and bring groups of passionate photographers in the best locations that we know in central Vietnam and beyond! And teach some serious photography!
Due to the fact that international flights into Vietnam haven’t started yet, we are answering the demand from our students based in Vietnam to organize new tours in the country, where we can freely travel.
We have built new photography tours for the summer, hoping that we will be able to feel all expats’ needs in travelling! Focusing mostly on central Vietnam for the summer, and, of course, North Vietnam in September for the rice harvest!
As usual, all our 3-day photography tours and workshops will happen over the week end, to allow the working expats in Vietnam to join us.
Here are the new photo tour dates:
June 26-29: 3-day central Vietnam Street photography tour with Andy Barker.
July 17-19: 3-day central Vietnam photo tour with Quinn Ryan Mattingly.
August 1-7: Phong Nha photo tour.
August 14-16: 3-day central Vietnam photo tour with Lee Starnes.
September 5-12: North Vietnam photo tour with Frederik Wissink.
We still have foreign participants booked on our North Vietnam photography tour, and we are hoping that by September some international flights will have resumed. Fingers crossed!!!
