Day 1 – Arrival in Hanoi
On this day we will organize the airport pick up and bring you to the hotel. We will have an optional warm up session, shooting in the streets of Hanoi Old Quarter. Group welcome dinner.
Includes: airport pick-up, dinner, and hotel night.
Day 2 – Hanoi Warm up and mountain bound
Day 2 begins with a morning photo walk in Hanoi Old Quarter, where we’ll warm up shooting the busy Hanoi street life. After breakfast, we’ll drive toward the mountains of Mu Cang Chai, stopping along the way for scenic shots and field action. We’ll settle in for the evening with dinner in our ecolodge in Mu Cang Chai.
Day 3 – Rice Terraces and Ethnic Villages
Day 3 takes us deep into the remote villages of Mu Cang Chai, where we’ll meet local communities and photograph the energy of the rice harvest. In the afternoon, after more time in the fields, we’ll end the day with a stunning sunset shoot from one of the region’s best viewpoints.
Day 4 – Capturing Rice and Tea Fields in Tan Uyen
Day 4 begins with our first photo review session to refine skills and share feedback. We’ll then drive to Tan Uyen, arriving in its lush tea fields. The afternoon will be spent photographing people working among the rice paddies and tea plantations of this magnificent valley, before ending the day with a sunset shoot over the rolling hills.
Day 5 – Tea Fields and Sunset in Ta Giang Phin
We’ll start the day capturing people working in the tea fields, framed by the magical morning light and misty mountains. After breakfast, we’ll journey to our next destination, Ta Giang Phin, where we’ll explore part of the village and photograph its unique atmosphere at sunset.
Day 6 – Photo Review and Village life
Day 6 starts with a relaxed morning and a photo review session to refine our work. In the afternoon, we’ll set off on a long walk through Ta Giang Phin’s villages, photographing farmers, children, and traditional houses, ending the day with a peaceful sunset shoot.
Day 7 – Ethnic Market Life and Rice Harvest in Muong Hum
The day begins at the vibrant Muong Hum ethnic market, where Red Dzao and Hani people gather in their colorful traditional dress. It’s a feast for people photography, full of energy, character, and storytelling opportunities. In the afternoon, we’ll immerse ourselves in the rice harvest, capturing powerful scenes of hard work and tradition against the dramatic backdrop of Muong Hum’s valley.
Day 8 – Portraits in a Red Dzao Village & Drive to Hanoi
The day begins with a visit to a Red Dzao village, offering fantastic opportunities for portraits and close encounters with local culture. After our morning shoot, we’ll drive back to Hanoi, arriving in time to enjoy a great dinner in the capital before preparing for the next leg of our adventure.
Day 9 – Incense Village & Sunset in Hoi An
We begin the morning at the famous incense village near Hanoi, where vibrant colors and dynamic scenes make for incredible photo opportunities. Afterward, we catch a flight to Hoi An. In the evening, we’ll head into the ancient town to capture its timeless charm at sunset, with glowing lanterns and atmospheric streets.
Day 10 – Sunrise Fishing Nets & Countryside Life
At sunrise, we’ll capture the iconic fishing nets on the river near Hoi An, followed by the lively scenes of a bustling local market. In the afternoon, we’ll head into the countryside to photograph farmers at work in the rice fields and vegetable gardens—an authentic glimpse of rural life around Hoi An.
Day 11 – Mastering the Craft & Farewell by the Sea
We’ll start the day at a bustling fish market and nearby village at sunrise—an ideal opportunity to put into practice all the techniques you’ve learned throughout the tour. In the afternoon, we’ll gather in a cozy coffee shop for our final photo review and reflection on the journey. To close the adventure, we’ll share a delicious seafood dinner on the beach in Hoi An.
Day 12 – Hidden Hoi An & Departure
For those who want to make the most of their last morning, we’ll head into Hoi An’s Old Town at sunrise, when the streets are free of tourists and filled with authentic local life—a rare chance to capture the town’s true character. Afterward, we’ll arrange airport drop-offs for all participants as we say our goodbyes and close this incredible journey together.
