Day 1 – Arrival in Dhaka & Welcome Dinner
Your driver will meet you at Dhaka airport and take you to the hotel. In the afternoon, there’s the option to head into Old Dhaka for some first street photography among rickshaws and markets. In the evening, we gather for a welcome dinner to meet the group and introduce the exciting journey ahead.
Day 2 – Sunrise on the Buriganga & Shipyard Life
We begin at sunrise on the Buriganga River, photographing boats, reflections, and early morning energy at Sadarghat. After breakfast, we explore the shipyards of Dhaka, capturing workers, textures, and dynamic light. In the late afternoon, we return riverside for portraits, markets, and sunset on the water.
Day 3 – Bustling Bazaars & Train Station Action
Today is dedicated to Dhaka’s intensity: Amin Bazar at sunrise, full of energy and commerce, followed by street and portrait work at Dhaka’s central train station. In the afternoon, we dive into markets and alleys, pushing creativity with fast, layered compositions in one of Asia’s busiest cities.
Day 4 – Fly to Rajshahi & Riverside Life
After a morning flight, we settle into Rajshahi, a quieter riverside city. We’ll explore colorful backstreets and riverside life in the afternoon, capturing fishermen, children, and daily rhythms along the Ganges. Sunset brings warm light and serene frames by the river.
Day 5 – Markets & Countryside Fields
We begin in Rajshahi’s lively morning market, where textures, colors, and portraits abound. After lunch, we drive to Bogra through rural fields of rice, sugarcane, and chilli, stopping in villages to photograph farmers and traditional scenes under soft afternoon light.
Day 6 – Bogra & Riverside Communities
In the morning, we will go and visit Bogra’s main market, located along the railways. Later, we explore riverside villages, capturing fishing nets, children at play, and ferry crossings. Evening brings golden light over the water for some fantastic cricket games!
Day 7 – Brick Factories & Village Life
An early start in the giant vegetable market of Bogra, where roof lights filter into the hustle and bustle. We then travel toward Dinajpur, photographing on the way. Stops include intense brick factories, where dust, fire, and workers’ movements create powerful compositions. Later, we explore nearby villages, working on environmental portraiture and daily life in rural Northern Bangladesh.
Day 8 – Misty Fields & Rural Portraits
We rise early to photograph misty fields and quiet roads at sunrise. Later, we fly to Sylhet, stopping for a quick street photography session in Dhaka along the way. Afternoon brings tea shops, candid moments, and a visit to stone quarries along the river.
Day 9 – Tea Plantations & Brick Kilns
Today we explore Sylhet’s famous tea plantations, photographing workers in the soft morning light. After lunch, we move to a nearby brick kiln, capturing the intensity of labor, smoke, and warm tones as workers move coal and clay.
Day 10 – Rural Markets & River Life
The morning takes us to Sylhet’s bustling vegetable market — chaos, color, and character. In the afternoon, we photograph riverside communities, herders, and children playing at sunset. Evening photo review session to refine storytelling techniques.
Day 11 – Fish Market & Final Review
Our final full day begins in a fish market, layered with action, smells, and textures. After lunch, we’ll head into Sylhet’s streets before returning to Dhaka for our last photo review. We’ll end the day with a celebratory dinner and reflections on the journey.
