Contact sheet #11

Looking into my archives trying to come up with some useful contact sheets for you guys, here is something that is taking my usual process the other way around.
This is actually something I find myself talking about more and more while on the photography tours around Asia: in order to be more efficient with your composition you should first get close to your subject before you start stepping back and include more elements.

We spent a day with Laurent Dambies last December and found you through his link. Very much enjoying your site, but sadly have no plans to return just yet. Thank you for explaining the evolution of this image – it’s a process that a lot of us go through and proves the value of taking time to look, not necessarily through the lens.

Maybe 1% accidents.. but this situation to me it’s more of your patience, persistence & determination! I might have already gave up and left before I set up my tripod and camera. But you kept trying different angles and kept clicking until that moments came ??
